Owen's teaching aims to give students the tools they need to express themselves through music. This includes not only proper technical ability at the piano, understanding of theory, and a well trained ear, but most importantly an inspiration rooted in history, culture, and observation. No two musical journeys are alike and so he strives for an awareness of each student's passions, motivations, and strengths.

Owen currently holds teaching positions at Belle Arti Center for the Arts in Queens, NY and Joyous Music School in Syosset, NY. He also teaches privately in Brooklyn, NY and as a Teaching Assistant at Stony Brook University.  Owen is a teaching partner with Steinway and Sons in Manhattan, NY. His students perform regularly at Steinway Hall and Flushing Town Hall.
